Radar — Interboot 2026

In this seminar you learn the fundamentals and the practical operation of modern marine radar systems — compact and practice-oriented at Interboot.

We work on the Raymarine Axiom 12" multifunction display — the same equipment type installed on most leisure yachts today. Every participant gets dedicated practice time at the device.

Seminar content:

• Fundamentals of radar technology
• Operating the Raymarine Axiom radar
• Correctly interpreting the radar image
• Collision avoidance and MARPA
• Navigation in restricted visibility
• Overlaying radar and the chart
• AIS symbols on the radar image
• Position fixing with radar

These compact morning seminars are run with a maximum of six participants and last around 3 to 3.5 hours. Afterwards you still have time to visit the show.

Seminar starts: 10:15. Seminar ends: approx. 13:30. A seminar booklet can be purchased on-site for €20.–.

Our instructor has 25 years of experience in the marine radar industry and presents the seminar in a clear and accessible style.
