Our lead instructor is a British national, fluent in German, with an exceptional commercial maritime background. His qualifications include:

  • Radio Officer, PMG 2nd Class Certificate β€” Wireless College, Colwyn Bay, Wales
  • Radio Officer, PMG 1st Class Certificate β€” Riversdale Technical College, Liverpool

He has served as Radio Officer aboard commercial vessels operating in Europe, the Caribbean, South America, North America, Africa, and Asia. He holds membership in the International Maritime Lecturers Association, The Radio Officers' Association, and the Royal Yachting Association.

RYA Recognised Training Centre

The Royal Yachting Association (RYA) is the UK's national authority for recreational boating. RYA Recognised Training Centres meet strict standards for instruction quality, equipment, and examiner accreditation. Our SRC certificates are accepted internationally by maritime authorities, making your qualification valid wherever you sail.

Small Groups, Better Learning

We deliberately keep our groups small so every student receives individual attention from the instructor. You will have hands-on time with the equipment β€” not just watch a demonstration. This is especially important for the practical VHF radio exercises where communication confidence is built through doing.

Professional Equipment

All our courses use real, professional-grade marine equipment. VHF radio courses use genuine handsets β€” not computer simulations. Radar courses use Raymarine Axiom and Raymarine E120 units β€” the same equipment you will find on leisure yachts and motor cruisers across Europe.
